As seen in many videos online, Michael Chour claims he does NOT buy dogs from Cambodian butchers. This is a lie.
You will ALWAYS see a Cambodian driver in his videos and these are the contacts who are essential in the arrangement and completion of the deal.
1) Michael hires a Cambodian driver who knows the area
2) Michael pays the driver $100USD for a day
3) The drivers call butchers and restaurants ahead of time to see what dogs are available. They come to an arrangement prior to Michael filming and give permission to come buy live dogs.
4) Michael selects the dogs to purchase. Often the dogs are already put aside when he walks in, as evident in videos.
5) Michael pays the butcher around $100 per dog which covers a dog up to 20kg. Dog meat is sold for $5 per kilogram.
6) Once the transaction is complete, heroic filming can commence.
More lies from Michael Chour, as proven by drivers who set up and were present for these transactions. Michael Chour fuels the very industry, he pretends to close for donations.

"I try speak with the butcher. To think about their family, their religion, the karma and I always make them GIVE me dog. I NEVER BUY a dog from a butcher. I cannot give them money, it would feed their market, you know so it is not ok for me. I cannot. I cannot."
