Krysti Gdy, Michael Chour of The Sound of Animals, speaks out about abuse, neglect and exploitation

 

 

This comes directly from Krysti Gdy, Michael Chour's ex wife. Some of it has been edited as it is too sensitive for publication.

 

"Hello, this is Krys the ex-wife of Michael Chour. Our story started in 1988 and ended in 2012. We have a 21 year old son. During those 24 years Michael never worked, or worked very little. It was his mother who mostly supported him or I supported him by working as a child care assistant in a creche. I worked at the creche for 12 years.

 

Michael's way of earning money was to sell cannabis/marijuana.

 

His mother was very wealthy but by the time she passed away from cancer she was penniless and almost destitute because of Michael taking money from her all the time. 

 

Michael's sister was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic together with manic depression and she stayed in a psychiatric hospital under care.

 

During our marriage for most of our marriage, he cheated on me and belittled me. He told me I was worthless.  He repeatedly raped me and abused me both physically and psychologically.

 

From around 2004 we started breeding dogs and cats. Because Michael didn't like to work he was mostly absent from this business and I spent my life taking care of the animals.

 

In 2012 he decided to go on a vacation to Thailand without me. There he met Tanyanan in a night club and she appeared to be a prostitute. I didn't know he started an affair with her but I saw many photographs. He told people he was very wealthy but it was me who had to send him money all the time.

 

He would declare his undying love for Tan but he would do the same to me. This was all make believe but he told me this so we would hopefully move to Thailand. At that time I was gullible and naive and allowed Michael to go back and forth to Thailand from France. 

 

Finally I told him to stop and asked him to chose between Tan and myself. He made his choice and left, leaving me on the street without any money to my name as he cleared out all our bank accounts and sold all our properties leaving me to fend for myself and my son. 

 

He also left behind 7 dogs from our dog breeding operation, many of whom were seriously ill and needed immediate veterinary care.  He left me to take care of the bills after leaving me nearly destitute.  He had no care for the animals he left behind or the awful predicament he was putting me in.

 

At some point he moved his sister out of the mental health care facility and took her to Thailand. Within 4 months she was dead. His sister had received real estate and money from their deceased mother's Estate. This all mysteriously disappeared after her death.

 

Then in February 2012 he made me send our son to Thailand for a "holiday". He kidnapped my son and held him hostage in Thailand illegally and against my wishes. I had to hire a lawyer and it took me 3 years to have him repatriated back to France!

 

Michael Chour was very abusive and treated me very badly.

 

I have a lot of rage and anger towards him."
